The 2020 Kia Sedona is a sleek, modern minivan that comes with an impressive list of standard features. Nothing beats a minivan when it comes to transporting kids and the cargo that goes with them, and the Sedona stands out with its strong engine and smooth ride. Here are some reasons the 2020 Kia Sedona is not your mom’s minivan.

  1. The Power

The Sedona gets its power from a 3.3-liter V-6 engine that develops 276 horsepower. It works with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and all models come with front-wheel drive. When equipped, this minivan can tow up to 3,500 pounds, which is plenty for a camper or trailer that you would need for a summer vacation getaway.

  1. The Model Choices

The base Sedona is the L. This trim comes with 17-inch alloy wheels and manual sliding doors. Just a step up to the LX gets you power-sliding side doors, and it adds roof rails and LED running lights. The EX comes with 18–inch alloy wheels, upgraded LED running lights, heated side mirrors, and it adds fog lights. The EX also has a power rear liftgate with a programmable height adjustment feature. Choose the EX Premium for a power sunroof, or the SX to add LED headlights, LED fog lights, and LED taillights.

  1. The Safety Features

Your family will feel safe in the Sedona with its standard and available safety features. All models have a rearview camera and rear parking sensors. The EX Premium and the SX both add a forward-collision warning system with emergency braking, a driver drowsiness monitor, lane-departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. A surround-view monitor is also an available option, and the EX and up come with a blind-spot monitor, rear parking sensors, front parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic alert.

  1. The Technology

The 2020 Sedona is definitely not your mom’s minivan when it comes to the technology. A 7-inch color touch screen display comes in the base L along with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a USB port. The UVO3 eServices system comes in the EX, and this brings wireless charging. Bumping up to the EX Premium gets you a 110-volt power outlet, while the SX adds an 8-inch touch screen display, HD radio, and a voice command system.

  1. The Cabin

Everyone in the Sedona will enjoy the ride with comfortable seats, no matter how long of a trip you take. The LX comes with a power-adjustable driver’s seat and room for up to eight passengers, while the EX adds heated front seats, leather upholstery, rear sunshades, a cooled glove compartment, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The top-level SX has heated and cooled front seats, power-adjustable passenger seats, heated seats in the second row, and driver’s seat memory settings. Both the EX and the SX offer the option for a dual-screen rear entertainment system.

The 2020 Kia Sedona has more technology, a sleeker exterior look, and more power than your mom’s minivan. All these add up to make it the ultimate family vehicle.
