3. Windgate Museum of Art

If you’re keen to take in some local culture, look no further than the Windgate Museum of Art. Works are exhibited from a wide range of artists, from up-and-coming students to seasoned professionals.  Exhibits include paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations, and more, so there’s always something interesting to see.

This well-loved art museum is located on Washington Avenue, on the grounds of Hendrix College. Opening hours are from 12-5pm, Tuesday through Saturday. Exhibitions are rotated regularly, so check the website before you visit for updates. The museum is open from 12-5pm, Tuesday through Saturday and admission is free.


4. Cadron Settlement Park

Cadron Settlement park offers local folks the perfect opportunity to learn about history while enjoying the outdoors. Spreading over 150 acres, it features reconstructions of various historic buildings, including a blockhouse, which hosts regular events arranged by the Faulkner County historical society.

The park also offers a variety of recreational facilities, including walking trails, a boat launch, a pavilion, and a sports facilities. The picnic areas are popular with families, so why not pack a lunch and enjoy an entire day at the park? Plenty of free parking is available onsite.
